Gwen: Well I'm glad you've got the law on your side.

Esther: Do you think I'm useless?
Jack: No. I think you're new to all this.
Esther: Yeah, but I'm CIA.
Jack: So's Rex. But he's just pretending. And that's the big secret, Esther. At times like these, the game goes to the person who speaks with the loudest voice. But pretty much everyone just wishes their mother was here.

Esther: He cockblocked the ATF.
Gwen: [laughs] I have no idea what any of that means.

Esther: Torchwood, that wasn't a virus. It's gotta be some sort of malware.
Noah: It's like nothing I've ever seen. The word "Torchwood" has vanished. It's been eradicated. If you search for "Torchwood," you get no results. Nothing gets no results.
Esther: There's gotta be something on paper.
Noah: Shelves are buried. It's all gone. I asked Yvonne. She said it was classified under the 456 regulations. She said you want to stay away.
Esther: Why?
Noah: They all died. So the story goes, anyone that worked for Torchwood was killed in action. And they died young.

Esther: What was that? Was that Lyn? What the hell is going on?
Gwen: Welcome to Torchwood.

Gwen: All the things I fought with Torchwood. And what stops me? Red tape.

Gwen: Anyway, so how's my little girl?
Rhys: Don't call me that, Gwen.
Gwen: Very funny.

Gwen: But Rex, we've got to do this. And I'm gonna to tell you why. Because I'm standing here and I'm staring at Oswald Danes. And he chose when that girl lived and he chose when that girl died. And no one should have that power. Not the rich, not the mad, not anyone.
Oswald: You're choosing now.
Gwen: Yeah, you watch me.
Oswald: You'll kill Jack and Rex and that girl Esther--all of your Torchwood team. You'll kill them all.
Gwen: Yeah. Yeah.
Oswald: You are magnificent!

Gwen: Just get my dad out, Rhys, and I'll phone you tonight.
Rhys: It's already tonight!

Gwen: So much for tying him up.
Rhys: I've never tied up a person!
Gwen: "Men are good at knots." How many times have you told me that?
Rhys: At Christmas!

Gwen: That was your last chance.
