[After being pulled over]
Hurley: Okay, okay, okay. Just stay calm.
[Cop knocks on window, Hurley rolls it down]
Cop: What the hell where you thinking?
Hurley:... Ana Lucia?
Ana Lucia: You were driving like a maniac. And why'd you pull over?
Hurley: I just... I thought...
Ana Lucia: You didn't think. What if I were real? What if a real cop stopped you? They already have pictures of you covered in blood with a gun in your hand.
Hurley: Actually, it's ketchup. We, uh, went to a drive-through and uh...
Ana Lucia: Bro, you need to pull it together. You've got a lot of work to do.
Hurley: I do?
Ana Lucia: Let's start with the basics. First off, you need new clothes. Then, you need to go to a safe place and take Sayid to somebody you trust. You getting all this?
Hurley: Yeah.

[After Jack heals him of his paralysis, Locke remembers his past life]
Locke:[Brought to tears] Did you see that?
Jack: See what? [Locke looks at Jack, overjoyed to see him; Jack has a flash of when he and Locke opened the Hatch but ignores it, confused] Mr. Locke, you need to lie back and take it easy.
Locke: [Trying to get up, very emotional] No, what we need to do is go.
Jack: No, you can't get up.
Locke: [Smiles happily] Will you come with me?
Jack: We are not going anywhere. You've just had extensive spinal surgery. Now you need to lie back. I- I need to see my son.[Starts to leave]
Locke: You don't have a son.
Jack: What?
Locke: You don't have a son, Jack.
[Jack seems confused and starts to leave]
Locke: Jack! I hope someone can do for you what you just did for me.
Jack: Get some rest, Mr. Locke.

[after viewing the orientation film for The Pearl]
Eko: Do you want to watch that again?
Locke: No... No, I've seen enough.

[After Widmore attacks with mortars, The Man in Black carries a wounded Jack into the jungle]
The Man in Black: Don't worry, Jack. Everything's going to be okay. You're with me, now.

[Ana-Lucia is questioning Henry, though the cell is silent.]
Jack: How do we know he hasn't snapped her neck?
Locke: How do we know she hasn't snapped his?

[Arzt is blown up]
Hurley: That was messed up.

[As sky lights up for third time shift]
Sawyer: Son of a-
[Time shifts, shows it's daylight]
Sawyer: Bitch...

[At drive through]
Hurley: Wanna fry?
Sayid: No, thank you.
Hurley: You know maybe if you ate more comfort food, you wouldn't have to go around shooting people.

[Ben and Sun watch on from afar as Locke talks to Richard in The Others camp]
Sun: Who's that man that John's talking to?
Ben: He's Richard Alpert. He's a kind of...advisor. And he has had that job for a very, very long time.
[Sun takes off her rucksack and unzips it talking out the picture of the 1977 Dharma recruits in which Jack, Kate and Hurley feature. She drops the bag and heads into the camp, towards Richard and Locke]
Ben: Sun? What are you...
[Ben follows her]
Sun: [To Richard] Where you here in 1977?
Richard Alpert: Excuse me?
[Sun shows Richard the photo]
Sun: These people. Jack Shepard, Kate Austen and Hugo Reyes, they were here with my husband Jin Kwon. Were you here? Do you remember them? Any of them?
Richard Alpert: Yes, I was here 30 years ago and yes I do remember these people. I remember meeting them very clearly because...I watched them all die.

[Ben has given up Widmore and Zoe to the Man in Black]
Ben: Sorry, Charles.
The Man in Black: What a pleasant surprise. How nice to finally talk to you without those fences between us.[Looks to Zoe] And who might you be?
Zoe: Zoe, my name is Zoe--
Widmore: Don't talk to him. Don't say anything!
[The Man in Black interrupts by swiftly slitting Zoe's throat with his knife, she collapses in Widmore's arms dying]
Widmore: Why would you do that?
The Man in Black: You told her not to talk to me. That made her pointless. Now... Charles, it's clear you're not afraid to die. So there's only one way to motivate you to tell me what I want to know. Soon this will all be over. I'll get what I want. And I'll finally leave this Island. And when I do, the first thing I'm gonna do is kill your daughter. Penny.
Widmore: You'll kill her whether I talk to you or not.
The Man in Black: No, I won't. I give you my word.
Widmore: And I'm supposed to just take your word?
The Man in Black: You tell me why you came back here and I will not hurt your daughter.
Widmore: I brought Desmond Hume back here because of his unique resistance to electromagnetism. He was a measure of last resort.
The Man in Black: What do you mean "last resort?"
Widmore: [Looks at Ben] I'm not saying any more in front of him.
The Man in Black: Well than whisper to me.
[Widmore whispers in MIB's ear, before he is shot several times by Ben, killing him]
Ben: He doesn't get to save his daughter.
The Man in Black: Ben...You never cease to amaze me. Fortunately, he already told me what I needed to know. So, no harm done.
Ben: Good...Did you say there were some other people to kill?

[Ben has just broken into Charles Widmore's penthouse]
Charles Widmore: Why are you here?
Ben: I'm here, Charles, because you murdered my daughter.
Charles Widmore: Don't stand there looking at me with those horrible eyes of yours, and lay the blame for the death of that poor girl on me, when we both know very well I didn't murder her at all, Benjamin. You did.
Ben: No, that's not true.
Charles Widmore: Yes, Benjamin, it is. You creep into my bedroom in the dead of night, like a rat, and have the audacity to pretend that you're the victim? I know who you are, boy, what you are. I know that everything you have you took from me. [pauses] So. Once again I ask you, why are you here?
Ben: I'm here, Charles, to tell you that I'm going to kill your daughter. Penelope, is it? And once she's gone, once she's dead, then you'll understand how I feel, and you'll wish you hadn't changed the rules.
Charles Widmore: You'll never find her. [Ben turns around and begins to walk away] That island's mine, Benjamin. It always was. It will be again.
Ben: [Turns around] But you'll never find it.
Charles Widmore: Then I suppose the hunt is on for both of us.
Ben: I suppose it is. Sleep tight, Charles.

[Ben leads Locke to where Anthony Cooper, his father, is tied up. The Others looks on]
Ben:[Hands Locke a knife] I know it won't be easy. But the quicker the better.
Cooper:[After Ben ungags him] You're kidding me, right? You expect him to kill me?
Ben: John, the hesitation you're feeling is just the part of you that still feels that he has a perfectly good explanation for stealing your kidney. Throwing you out of an eight-story window. Don't you wanna be free from him?
Cooper: The hesitation he's feeling is because he is a spineless--
Locke:[Growing anxious] Shut up! I, I've gotta think...
Ben: Don't think, John.
Cooper: You're wasting your time, bug-eye. Me and him have been through all of this. All he wants is his daddy.
Locke: Shut up! I SAID SHUT UP!
Ben: Let go of him, John.
Locke: Why are you doing this to me?
Ben: You're doing this to yourself. As long as he's still breathing, you will still be that same sad, pathetic little man who was kicked off of his walkabout tour because you couldn't walk!
[Flaring with anger, Locke presses his knife to Cooper's throat. Just as he is about to kill him, he turns away, humiliated]
Cooper:[Mocking] I'll be here the rest of the week, John, if you change your mind.
[Ben spins and hits Cooper across the face with his cane, knocking him out. He then takes Locke's knife away and addresses The Others]
Ben: I'm sorry. He's not who we thought he was.

[Ben rummages through Sawyer's old stash at the beach camp. He finds a book and a couple of pornographic magazines]
Ben: The stuff people bring on their travels...
[He continues to look and finds a bottle of water carrying the Oceanic Logo on its label. Frank Lapidus approaches]
Ben: Oceanic! You know I remember that plane breaking apart as if it were yesterday.
Frank: You're sounding a little nostalgic there.
Ben: Maybe I am.
Frank: You know I was supposed to be flying it? Oceanic 815?
[Ben looks at Frank shocked by the news]
Ben: And why didn't you?
Frank: I overslept. [Pause] You know I keep thinking about how different my life would have been if I was on the plane.
Ben: How different would it have been? The island still got you in the end, didn't it?

[Ben tries to dissuade Keamy from killing Alex]
Ben: She's not my daughter. I stole her as a baby from an insane woman. She's a pawn, nothing more. She means nothing to me. (pauses) I'm not coming out of his house. So if you want to kill her, go ahead and...
[Keamy shoots Alex]

[Ben, Miles, and Richard are on their way to The Barracks]
Miles: You sure this is a shortcut?
Ben: I lived in these houses a long time, Miles. I think I can remember how to get there.
Miles: Yeah well, I lived in these houses thirty years before you did; otherwise known as last week. And I have no idea where the hell we are.
Ben: Guess it's a good thing you're following me.
