The Man in Black: You're a candidate.
Sawyer: And what does that mean?
The Man in Black: It means you have three choices. You can do nothing and see how it all plays out. [Marks off John Locke's name on the wall] And maybe your name will get marked off. Or you can step up and replace Jacob and be the protector of the Island.
Sawyer: Protect it from what?
The Man in Black: From nothing, James. That's the real joke; there is nothing to protect it from. It's just a damn island! And it will be perfectly fine without you or me or anyone else whose lives Jacob wasted.
Sawyer: You said there were three choices.
The Man in Black: The third choice is we just go. We just get the hell off this Island. Never look back. So tell me, James. Are you ready to go home.
Sawyer:...Hell yes.

The Man in Black:[Disguised as Locke] Hello, Jacob.
Jacob:...Guess you found your loophole.
The Man in Black: Indeed, I did. And you have no idea what I've gone through to be here.
Ben: You two know each other?
The Man in Black: In a manner of speaking. Do what I asked you to, Benjamin.
Jacob: Benjamin, whatever he's told you, I want you to understand one thing: you have a choice.
Ben: What choice?
Jacob: You can do what he asks, or you can go, leave us to discuss our... issues.
Ben: Oh... so now, after all this time... you've decided to stop ignoring me. Thirty-five years I lived on this island, and all I ever heard was your name, over and over. Richard would bring me your instructions, all those slips of paper, all those lists... and I never questioned anything. I did as I was told. But when I dared to ask to see you myself, I was told, "You have to wait. You have to be patient." But when he asks to see you, he gets marched up here as if he was Moses. So why him? Hmm? What was it that was so wrong with me? What about me?
Jacob: [spitefully] What about you?
Ben: ...Ah. Well... [He stabs Jacob twice in the chest and watches as he falls to the ground]
Jacob:[Quietly] They're coming...
The Man in Black: What? I can't hear ya.
Jacob: They're coming!
[With this, The Man in Black looks alarmed. He then kicks Jacob into the fire and he and Ben watch him burn]

Tom: Ben's awake...
Juliet: How?
Tom: Shephard said he's a spinal surgeon, not an anesthesiologist.

Tom: Hey, you got yourself a fish biscuit! How'd you do that?
Sawyer: Figured out your complicated gizmos, thats how.
Tom: It only took the bears two hours.
[Sawyer contemplates briefly]
Sawyer: How many of 'em were there?

Tom: No self-respecting man in Iowa goes anywhere without beer.

Walt: [after throwing knife at tree] Man! I suck!

Walt: [After winning backgammon] You owe me twenty thousand dollars!
Hurley: Don't worry, you'll get it.

Walt: John, you have work to do.

Walt: We should get Mister Locke.
Hurley: Locke's out in the jungle killing stuff.

Yemi: [to Eko] You must help John, he has lost his way. You must make him take you to the question mark.

Young Widmore: I want you to tell me everything or I'll cut off her other hand.
Juliet: What?!
Sawyer: Other?
Young Widmore: The first one isn't negotiable. It's just to illustrate how serious I am.

[1974 - Sawyer and Juliet step out of some foliage to find Daniel Faraday kneeling alone and crying in the jungle.]
Daniel: [muttering] Not gonna tell... I'm not gonna tell...
Sawyer: [whispering to Juliet] Where's Red?
Juliet: I dont know.
[Juliet walks over to Faraday and stoops down to talk to him. Sawyer, Miles and Jin hang back.]
Daniel: [mutters indistinctly] No. I won't do it. I won't tell her. I won't do it. Won't...
Juliet: Daniel? Are you okay?
Daniel: I'm not gonna do it. I'm not gonna tell her.
Juliet: Daniel, where's Charlotte?
Daniel: [Voice breaking] She's not here. She... She's gone.
Juliet: Where?
Daniel: She's... dead. She's dead. There was another flash, and... and she was... she was just gone.
[Juliet nods sympathetically.]
Daniel: Her... body just... [crying] disappeared. She moved on, and we stayed.
Juliet: I'm so sorry.
Sawyer: Hold on. Wait a minute. We "stayed"? We're not traveling through time anymore? You saying it's over?
Daniel: Of course it's over. Wherever we are now... whenever we are now... we're here for good. :[To Juliet, or perhaps to himself] I won't do it.
Juliet: Okay. Okay.
Daniel: I won't. I'm not gonna--I'm--I'm...
Juliet: Okay.
Daniel: I'm not gonna--I w--I won't.
Juliet: Okay. [pats Dan on head] Okay.
[Juliet stands up and goes back towards Sawyer]
Daniel: ...Tell...
Sawyer: Okay. Swell. Until Dan checks back in, I say we head back to the beach. When Locke gets back with everybody, that's where they'll be looking for us.
Miles: The beach? What, you didn't get enough flaming arrows shot at you? And your camp is gone. Why bother?
Juliet: Sawyer's right, Miles. We should go back to the beach. We survived there before. We can do it again.
Miles: [To nobody in particular] Or maybe when we get there, you'll--you'll wanna go back to the Orchid again. And then when that gets boring, we can head back to the beach. It's the only two plans you people have.

[A gunshot is heard, and a branch is struck right beside Hurley and Charlie. They both pause, confused]
Hurley:...Is someone shooting at us--[Another gunshot rins out and Hurley and Charlie run]

[After arriving back on the island via a life-raft, Sawyer, Juliet and Kate encounter Rose and Bernard who have not been seen since 'The Lie']
Sawyer: Did you not hear me shout "meet at the creek"?
Bernard: There were flaming arrows raining down around us, killing everyone we knew - well sure, we heard you!
Sawyer: Well we spent all sorts of time looking for you. I had Jin out searching the island grid-by-grid.
Rose: Yeah, we know.
Juliet: You know?
Rose: Yeah sure, you lot joined up with Dharma.
Sawyer: Well damn, I could have brought both of you in! Why didn't you find a way to tell us you were out here?
Rose: Because we're retired.

[After arriving back on the main island in 2007; Sun and Frank arrive at the Dharma Barracks. The place is derserted and falling apart. suddenly the wind picks up blowing the trees and errie whispers are heard. Sun and Frank turn to and look as the light in the Dharma processing building comes on. They exchange uneasy glances as the door creaks open to reveal Jack's father Christian Shepard]
Christian: Hello.
Frank: Who the hell are you?
Christian: My name is Christian.
Sun: I'm looking for my husband. His name is Jin Kwon. Do you know where he is?
Christian: Follow me...
[Christian re-enters the dilapidated Dharma Processing Centre and Sun follows. A nervous Frank follows after Sun. Inside; Christian shines a torch on several pictures looking for one to show Sun]
Sun: What is this place?
Christian: Seventy two, Seventy six, Seventy eight...
Sun: Where is my husband?
Christian: Ah! Here we go. Seventy seven. [Removes the picture from the wall] He's um, he's with your friends.
Sun: What are you talking about? What friends?
[Christian walks over to Sun and Frank as the wind begins to blow strongly outside causing the door to open. He hands Sun the picture and shines the torch on it so that both Sun and Frank can see it]
Christian: I'm sorry but you've got a bit of a journey ahead of you.
[Sun looks at the picture. There is a banner labeled “New Recruits” hanging over a group of people including Jack, Kate and Hurley. They are wearing Dharma jump suits. Sun and Frank look at each other shocked and confused]
