Hurley: Dude they'll find out.
Jack: Not if we stick to the story.
Sayid: I don't know, Jack. It could be a risk.
Jack: It's the only way. We have to do this.
Lapidus: You're still at it, huh?
Jack: Look, we're running out of time. We've got to make a decision now. So are we all okay with this?
Sayid: This is a decision that will affect the rest of our lives. I'm not taking it lightly.
Jack: Kate?
Kate: Yeah.
Jack: Sun?
[Sun nods]
Jack: Frank?
Lapidus: What?
Jack: Sorry you got dragged into this, but we need to know that you're with us.
Lapidus: Whatever you guys decide, I'll just roll with.
Jack: Hurley, what about you?
Hurley: I don't think we should lie dude.
Jack: We need to protect the people that we left behind, Hurley.
Hurley: How does lying protect them?
Jack: It protects them from Charles Widmore. The guy hired a boatload of people to kill all of us. He faked the plane crash, and you think telling him the truth he's just gonna.. he's gonna leave them alone?
Hurley: [To Penny] Look he's your dad right? Can't you just like.. call him off?
Penny: There's no calling my father off.
Hurley: But, he'll never find 'em. I mean the Island disappeared, we all saw it, it's gone... BLUP!
Jack: You thing anyone's gonna believe that? Believe any of it? They're gonna think you're crazy.
Hurley: Unless someone backs me up.
[He looks at Sayid]
Hurley: Sayid, come on. They'll think I'm nuts if I tell the truth but what if we all do? I mean if we can stick together, we can make 'em believe us. I don't wanna spend the rest of my life lying, do you?!
Sayid: No, but I don't believe we have a better choice... I'm sorry Hurley but we have to lie.
Hurley: You know what dude? I'm gonna remember this. And some day you're gonna need my help and I'm telling you right now... You're not getting it.

Hurley: Dude, dogs will eat anything. When I was a kid, my dog, Buster... I had this drawer where I'd throw in all my change, right... and I guess there were some Smarties in there... so, like, the next day, Buster craps out a buck thirty-five in nickels.

Hurley: Dude, that beer's been sitting there since before Rocky 3. Maybe even 2. It's probably poisoned by now.
Sawyer: [Indicates Roger's corpse] Skeletor seems to like it.

Hurley: Dude, whoever you are you better come out now. I've got a gun and I know how to use it...
[Hurley attempts to cock the gun, while behind him the undergrowth russles. Hurley watches as Jacob appears infront of him]
Jacob: Hey Hugo. You got a minute?
[Jacob and Hurley walk back to the Dharma Van where a dying Sayid is still lying on the ground. Jacob bends down and examines Sayid while Hurley looks on]
Hurley: Where you going dude? Whats going on? Why are you here? I mean you show up in LA, in the back of a cab and tell me to get on that plane that just so happens to get me back to the island. How did you know that would happen?
[Jacob remains silent, still looking over Sayid]
Hurley: Dude you better start taling 'cause my friend Jin is going to be back any minute and He'll...
Jacob : Your friend Jin won't be able to see me.
Hurley: [Pause] Why not?
Jacob : Because I died an hour ago.
Hurley: Sorry dude. That sucks.
Jacob : Thanks.
[Jacob stands and looks at Hurley]
Hurley: You want me to do something crazy again don't you?
Jacob: No. All I want you to do is save Sayid Hugo.
Hurley: Well thats why I sent Jin to get Jack, so Jack can...
Jacob: Jack cannot save him. You have to take Sayid to the temple, the rest of them should be safe there too.
Hurley: The temple? Am I supposed to know where that is?
Jacob: Jin knows. Ask him to take you to the hole in the wall where he was with the French team. Through that opening you can gain access to the temple.
[Hurley looks around for Jin returning]
Jacob: Oh and Hugo, do you still have that Guitar Case I gave you?
Hurley: Yeah...
Jacob: Bring it!
[Hurley looks at Jacob, slightly confused by whats going on]
Hurley: Who are you man?
Jacob: I'm Jacob.

Hurley: How do you know how to do all that?
Sayid: I was a military communications officer.
Hurley: Oh yeah? You ever see battle?
Sayid: I fought in the Gulf War.
Hurley: No way! I got a buddy who fought over there. He was in the Hundred and Fifth Airborne. What were you, Air Force? Army?
Sayid: The Republican Guard.

Hurley: How exactly does something like this happen?
Danielle: Are you on the same island as I am?

Hurley: I like that I have a good relationship with my mom. I like making my Grandpa Tito laugh. I like... chicken
Dr. Brooks: Well, that last one wasn't about you, Hugo.
Hurley: I like that I like chicken?

Hurley: I'm one of the Oceanic Six! I'm one of the Oceanic Six!

Hurley: Look, you cant help me, ok? Nobody can.

Hurley: No, no way. I'm not going to let you die.
Jack: Hurley, I'm already dead.
Hurley: You said you would protect the Island.
Jack: And that's what I'm doing.
Hurley: You're committing suicide!
Jack: I'm not. This is the way its supposed to happen. This is what I'm supposed to do.
Hurley: You're not supposed to die! The island needs you!
Jack: Hurley, it needs you.
Hurley: What?
Jack: It needs to be you, Hugo.
Hurley:[Overcome with emotion]...I can't...It's supposed to be you.
Jack: No it was only supposed to be me so I could do this. But if someone has to take care of it, if someone has to protect it, then it should be you. Hurley, I believe in you.
Hurley: ...All right, I'll take it. But its only temporary, as soon as you get that light back on, I'm pulling you straight up and giving it rightt back to you, deal?
Jack: Deal.

Hurley: Okay. See, we did crash, but it was on this crazy island. And we waited for rescue, and there wasn't any rescue. And there was a smoke monster, and then there were other people on the island. We called them the Others, and they started attacking us. And we found some hatches, and there was a button you had to push every 108 minutes or... well, I was never really clear on that. But... the Others didn't have anything to do with the hatches. That was the DHARMA Initiative. The Others killed them, and now they're trying to kill us. And then we teamed up with the Others because some worse people were coming on a freighter. Desmond's girlfriend's father sent them to kill us. So we stole their helicopter and we flew it to their freighter, but it blew up. And we couldn't go back to the island because it disappeared, so then we crashed into the ocean, and we floated there for a while until a boat came and picked us up. And by then, there were six of us. That part was true. But the rest of the people... who were on the plane? They're still on that island.

Hurley: So that dude you pocked outside Santa Rosa, who was he?
Sayid: I don't care. He was armed and he was watching you. That made him an enemy.
Hurley: You think he was going to kill me?
Sayid: I'm not taking risks after Bentham died.
Hurley: You mean Locke?
Sayid: Yeah, I mean Locke.
Hurley: I need a cool code name.

Hurley: So what do you think is the story with that Libby chick?
Charlie: Story?
Hurley: She's kind of cute, right? You know, in an I've-been-terrorized-by-the-Others-for-forty-days kind of way?
Charlie: Yeah, there is that.
Hurley: I think I have a chance with her. I mean, it's a classic desert island scenario.

Hurley: So when'd you become so paranoid?
Sayid: If you'd spent the last two years doing the things I was doing, you'd be paranoid, too.
Hurley: Oh, yeah? Paranoid like what? What kind of things?
Sayid: I was working for Benjamin Linus.
Hurley: Wait. He's on our side now?
Sayid: Listen to me, Hurley. If you ever have the misfortune of running into him, whatever he tells you, just do the opposite.

Hurley: So, Arnzt.
Arzt: No. Not Arnzt. Arzt. A-R-Z-T.
Hurley: Sorry, man. Your name's hard to pronounce.
Arzt: Well, I know a bunch of ninth graders who pronounce it just fine.
Hurley: How 'bout I just call you by your first name?
Arzt: How 'bout you don't?
Hurley: Why not? I remember it from the plane's manifest. I think Leslie's a bitchin' name.
Arzt: Arnzt is fine.
