Jacob:[To Richard] Imagine that this wine is what you keep calling hell. There are other names for it. Malevolence. Evil. Darkness. And it's all down here swirling at the bottom. Unable to get out, because if it did it would spread. Now, the cork is this Island. [Puts a cork in the jug, trapping the wine] And it's the only thing keeping the darkness where it belongs.

James: [is caught trying to get candy from a vending machine] It's okay. I'm a cop.
Juliet: Maybe you should read the machine its rights.
James: [laughs] That's funny.
Juliet: Can I tell you a secret?
James: Please.
Juliet: If you unplug it, and then you plug it back in again, the candy just drops right down.
James: Is that right?
Juliet: Yes, and its technically legal.
James: I'll give it a shot. [unplugs and cuts off power to the room] Oops.
Juliet: It worked. [hands the candy bar to him and remembers their life on the island]
James: Whoa. Did you feel that?
Juliet: We should get coffee sometime.
James: I'd love to, but that machine ate my dollar. I only got one left.
Juliet: [smiles] We could go dutch.

Jin: (first speaks Korean) Others! Others!

Jin: [about Sun] In a good world... she would hate her father, not me.
Jin's father: It is a good world.

Jin: [in English] Hi there, Hurley.
Hurley: Jin, you're here.
Jin: That's right.
Hurley: Dude, you speak English!
Jin: No, you're speaking Korean.
Hurley: [in Korean] I am? [A man in a chicken costume appears next to Jin.] What's he doing here?
Jin: Everything's going to change.
Hurley: What?
Jin: Everything's going to change. Have a cluckity cluck-cluck day, Hugo.
Giant Chicken: [female voice] Hurley!

Jin: Charlotte.
Charlotte: Yeah?
Jin: I know you understand me.
Charlotte: Pardon?
Jin: I know you speak Korean. You smiled when sun and I talked about you and you were listening to us at the station.
Charlotte: I'm sorry. Perhaps I can get your wife to translate...
Jin: You know, if you continue to lie, I'm going to hurt your friend Daniel, I'm going to break his fingers one at a time, do you understand that?
Charlotte: What do you want?
Jin: When you helicopter comes for you, you're goning to take my wife off this island.
Charlotte: What about you and the rest of your friends?
Jin: Just get her on the helicopter.

Miles: Dude, he's Korean. I'm from Encino.

Juliet: I'm a fertility doctor. I'm not used to death.

Juliet: It doesn't work that way over here Jack, we make decisions together.
Jack: Really? Because when I was holding that broken plate to your neck, he seemed happy to just let you die. It seemed like he made that decision alone.

Juliet: I hear you only liked them grilled.
Jack [Smiles]: I missed the toothpicks too.
[Juliet gives him the sandwich]

Juliet: Jack...

Jack: If you would break off that aloe plant there...
Juliet: It's ok, Jack.
Jack: Please, please do it.
[Juliet breaks off a piece, and Jack puts it on her back, their hands almost touching]
Juliet: Why did you help me?
Jack: He told you that you could leave the island. He told me the same thing. We're going to make sure he keeps his promise.
Juliet: We're? How are we going to do that?
Jack: Together.

Juliet: What do you do, Jack? What's your profession?
Jack: I'm a repo man. You know, when people don't pay their bills I go into the bank and collect their possessions. I'm a people person so I really love it.
Juliet: Are you married?
Jack: No. I never saw the point. What about you? What's your job, besides making sandwiches?
Juliet: Oh, I didn't make it. I just put the toothpicks in.
